Wash & Wax

Description

The Wash & Wax is our entry-level exterior detail service. The exterior of the vehicle is first washed to remove loose dust, dirt, and road grime. Using a liquid wax, a soft pad, and a dual-action waxing machine, our technician will apply a Carnauba or Cleaner Wax, depending on the condition and needs of your vehicles paint finish. Machine applying the wax will allow us to clean the surface, remove light contamination, add shine, and most importantly protect the paint finish. The hard to reach painted areas are hand waxed with the same wax to make sure all painted surfaces are protected. Wax residue is then removed with a fine microfiber towel, which is used only for the paint finish to prevent cross-contamination. The coat of wax will leave a deep wet shine and a more slick surface to help repel contaminants, water spots, and stains from easily embedding and penetrating into the paint finish.

The Details add-on package is highly recommended.

Please note: Machine waxing will not remove swirls, scratches, edge waters spots, and stains off the paint finish. It may help to minimize these issues, but this isn’t the purpose of this service.

Is this service right for your vehicle

The Wash & Wax exterior detail service is perfect if you have had your vehicle's exterior surfaces clayed bar recently, and you have washed it frequently (at least every 2 weeks). Your vehicle's paint finish needs to be clean and free of embedded contamination.

You do not want to apply a coat of protection over contaminated paint. If you have never had the paint finish clayed bar to remove embedded contamination, then we strongly recommend you consider our Clay & Wax detail service instead. To see if your paint finish is contaminated, you can run the palm of your hand over it to feel the surface or look closely. If it feels rough to the touch or if you see orange, black or other color specks, then your paint finish is contaminated.

Recommended Every

Our Wash & Wax service can be completed as often as you wish, and it will not harm the paint of your vehicle. The more wax you apply, the stronger the protection. If your vehicle is frequently washed and you complete this service in the time frames shown above or when recommended by our technicians, it will help to extend or even avoid the need to clay bar the exterior surfaces to remove embedded contamination.

Several factors determine the recommended time frame. Refer to the ones below to get an idea. If we wash your vehicle regularly, our technicians will make recommendations as we maintain it.
